The CCU Admissions department wanted our team to create a postcard as a direct mailing piece for prospective traditional undergraduate students. This postcard was created as a follow-up piece that would be mailed to high school students after they had a phone conversation with a CCU student ambassador.
“There’s no better way to understand why our students call CCU ‘home,’ than by experiencing it for yourself.”
A Postcard from a Friend
The Communications and Creative Services department was not given a lot of direction about the goals of this postcard except that it was a follow-up piece after CCU student ambassadors talked with high school students. I thought the most effective way to approach this postcard was to write it as if a friend was sending a postcard to another friend. I also decided that the call-to-action that made the most sense for this piece was to invite the students to one of our free campus visits.
